Meet Dr. Ryan Robinson

With many family members who work in the healthcare field, Dr. Robinson always knew he wanted to help people in some form. “I was always an athlete, so I looked into being an athletic trainer, personal trainer, physical therapist, or taking similar routes. And I decided that I didn’t want to be a trainer; I wanted to be a doctor because I felt that I could impact more lives.”

The Appeal of Providing Natural Health Care

When he was a freshman undergrad, a speaker came into Dr. Robinson’s class to talk about chiropractic care and what it entailed. “It really opened my eyes to the profession. Over the next couple of years, I decided that this is the route I want to take.” He particularly liked the natural approach of chiropractic as he doesn’t take medications and lives a healthy lifestyle.

Obtaining a Chiropractic Education

After earning his bachelor’s from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Dr. Robinson attended Palmer College of Chiropractic. The institution’s history appealed to him and he knew he was going to get an exceptional education there. He also has earned various certifications and is currently working toward formal accreditation in functional medicine, which focuses on identifying the root of a particular problem or condition. He also is interested in pursuing a diplomate in nutrition.

Enjoying an Active Life in Aurora

When he’s not at the practice, Dr. Robinson enjoys spending time in the outdoors. He and his wife, who is working toward becoming a nurse practitioner, like to camp, hike, fish and just enjoy being out in nature. Dr. Robinson also loves sports and working out as much as possible. He also is a deer hunter and likes to hunt with his German Shorthaired Pointer. Travel is another top activity for Dr. Robinson and his wife.

A Desire to Give Back

As his brother has autism and OCD, Dr. Robinson wanted to get into a profession that allows him to help people. Going forward, he wants to meet with nonprofits, particularly those related to autism. His goal is to support them locally through the practice, whether it’s donating time or money.
